I'm so sorry for your loss. I owe the greatest debt to Davey. He was the one who told my husband John, a fellow New Yorker, about SDU. Of course, he didn't tell John that Prince Edward Island wasn't "just east of Montreal". John followed Dave to the Island and remained in Canada the rest of his life. So I owe him for almost 49 years with John, 2 wonderful daughters and 3 awesome grandchildren. Thank you doesn't begin to express my gratitude.

Dear David and Jessica, I was saddened to learn of your father's passing. Recently, we had a reunion of the St. Dunstan's Hockey Team at UPEI that played together 50 yrs ago. 9 showed up. I was hoping your Dad would be there. He knew the meaning of "team". I was only at SDU for a couple of years but we used to study in the lab together around exam time. (sometimes all night before some exams and then we would wonder why we couldn't remember things next day with no sleep) I was hoping to see him again before this happened. Just wanted you to know that I thought your Dad was a great person. To you, Dave's grandchildren and family, I am sorry. Sincerely, Billy MacMillan

We were very sorry to hear about the loss of your father Dave. I enjoyed the times I spent visiting him with you in PEI. Condolences to you and your family at this difficult time.

Please accept my condolences on your loss. David is somebody I will never forget, and I wish I could still call him to say hello, thank him again for his kindness, and for the advice he gave me on many matters, particularly on career choices.
