I too am remembering George. It is hard to imingae that a year has passed, and I have felt the void. There are only a very small handfull of people who rise to the occassion on a regular basis, and George was certainly one of those. I have fond memories of him, and also attending the memorial and dinner. He is in my heart, and truly missed. The world is a better place for having George.Judy http://gqwtwd.com qpveyjfigmm [link=http://nvemixpni.com]nvemixpni[/link]

George Atkins understood that there is a saciepl affinity among Farm Radio people, no matter where they live. As a young person I was thrilled each day to listen to my Dad's radio broadcast delivered in a clear, warm and authoritative voice ending with his signatute signoff Serving Agriculture the basic industry, this is George Atkins .So it is with Grace Amito the 2010 winner of the George Atkins Award. Grace's acceptance speech was delivered beautifully with all the hallmark commitment and magnetism that distinguishes gifted rural broadcasters around the world. Thanks to the whole FRI family for growing the idea and using the magic of radio every day to help and inspire so many rural people.

This incident is not only hedoius, but vociferously condemnable..I simply fail to understand, why do these brainless terrorists attack in vain when they meet failure miserably, because they cannot kill the spirit of this country. I am not only shocked but very very angry at what they have been doing to this country.
