I was saddened to hear of Helen's passing. I worked at the Woodcroft Clinic with her many years ago. Helen was extremely pleasant to work with, kind and generous. After her retirement and mine as well I would run into her in public places and she always had time to chat and ask about my family. She will be greatly missed. God bless you, Helen

Helen was my supervisor, mentor and then colleague in what was, once upon a time, the Edmonton Board of Health. I got to know her the best during the time when the health system first started it's transition and we gamely struggled again and again to keep the public health system front and foremost. I remember her wonderful laugh which helped to build a sense a team and give us perspective. She was a wonderful woman and someone I will always remember from my public health days. I'm sorry to have missed her funeral as I'm sure it was full of health system colleagues who remember her as I do.

I have many fond memories of Helen, starting from the time Brian and I first landed on Anne's doorstep in Edson and she delivered us to your home in Edmonton. There were the four of you then, a full and happy house and Helen made us feel welcome and part of the family - as did you all. Throughout the years she has kept me up to date on all the family, her stories about you all were filled with pride and humor. I will miss that immensely.
Thinking of you all.

As a new employee of the Local Board of Health I valued the in-service training that Helen arranged. Over the years I have marveled at the quality and quantity of the training that was provided. She was a great inspiration to me and I have often thought how lucky we were to have a nurse of her caliber on staff. She helped shape the Public Health Nurse I became (40 years worth) and she was a true leader and inspiration. Condolences to the family.

Very sorry to hear of your mum's passing. Your grandmother and my mother were close friends and Helen and I kept in touch after their passing. Helen gave me a copy of Ann's book and I have enjoyed reading it over the years. My sincere condolences to you all.
