It\'s with great sadness that my wife and I learned about Jim\'s passing. I know the folks in Nelson remember the Stout family well and have very fond memories of Jim. We will tip a glass and have a dram in your honor.
posted by Carl and Kate Walgren : My dad, Ivan Walgren, grew up with Jim. Jim got my dad involved with the Kootenay Kiltie Pipe Band when they were young and as a result of their friendship my brother and I joined the band. I met my wife (Kate) when she joined the band as a drummer. My wife met Jim and Marie a few years ago when they were staying at the Radium Hot Springs Golf Resort and once they found out they had Nelson and the pipe band in common Jim brought up many old stories, some which shouldn\'t be put in print!
