Dear Perry and family,
I was so sorry to learn of Harold,s passing earlier last month..Please accept my sympathy and condolences. As a fellow colleague at Inland Cement he was highly respected by all of us who had the privilege of knowing and working with him. My daughter Alison worked as a summer student under his direction at the Head office in Copper Tower and remembers his quiet and helpful assistance during her time there.
Later during our retirement we would often meet both you and Harold ,usually at the grocery store and enjoy sharing some good memories of our time at Inland. I shall miss that but will cherish those memories.
I will look forward to attending the celebration of Harold\'s life that you are planning. In the mean time my thoughts and prayers are with you and the family
Sincerely
David Selleck

Harold and I had lunch together, usually just the two of us, weekdays, for five years, 1974-1979 at Inland Cement\'s head office in College Plaza. He attended my wedding in 1977. Some of his wise and subtle advice stuck with me, as I\'ve been happily married now for 39 years. Although I was in the marketing department, I know that Harold was well thought of by his Accounting peers and staff, particularly for his modesty, initiative, and ability to motive his staff. From our daily noon hour conversations about my busy life as a bachelor, typically, he was able to make the chore of mowing the grass in his yard into a pleasant virtue, one I came to share in time. Harold: you done good!
