Dear Stuart family, we are very saddened to learn of Al's passing. As the Potato Growers of Alberta Executive Director from 1993-1999, he was a well respected man by fellow Staff and Board, Government officials and AB Potato Growers. He was a huge advocate for the potato industry and was instrumental in the development of multi million dollar potato processing plants into the southern Alberta area, which will remain an important period of AB history. Sending thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

All of us who served with Alan on the Alberta Food Processors Association board are deeply saddened to hear of his passing. He contributed much to the board and to the whole industry for many years. I will greatly miss him coming by for coffee after he retired from the board and updating me on the government activities in regard to the industry, that he always kept up with. He was a valued friend and passionate industry advocate to all of us and will be sadly missed.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Alan's passing and wish to offer my sincere condolences to his family. Alan and I worked together for over 10 years as he served on the Board of Directors of the Alberta Food Processors Association during my tenure as its President. His dedication to the association and the industry it served was well respected and appreciated by his peers. His input was valued and he was a real team player as he always provided his full support to board decisions even when they didn't go his way. He will be missed.

Car, I?m so sorry to hear about your dad. I still remember going on summer evening bike rides to the County Farms/Dairy Queen. I believe your family portrait was my first paid photography gig. I hope that my happy memories put a smile on your face and alleviate your sadness if only for a moment. Thinking of you, Love Jody
