Shocked to have recently found out about Doug's passing. Got to know him as one of the 'teachers' that won the Rehoboth Golf Tournery every year! He taught all four of our children. Was sad to hear about his cancer diagnosis but last time I saw him was at Wabumun when you guys were building the cabin. We didn't run in the same circles but always knew we were brothers in Christ. May you find the peace that passes all understanding in the days and weeks that lie ahead. Blessings!

Dear Loretta and Family, My fingers are frozen on the keyboard wondering what to say and thinking of your grief that can\'t be spoken and the pain that goes on and on... My heart is heavy for you. My thoughts are happy for Doug as he enters into his rich inheritance. I am smiling as I gratefully remember many good moments with Doug at the highschool. God grieves with you. Alisa

Condolence to you all. I got to know Doug through my curriculum work with the Ontario Alliance of Christian Schools. The concepts that he presented made good sense to me and showed care for children as they grew in faith formation. Christian education made sense to me when Doug talked. His teaching changed my teaching, and since then has shaped the work that do. I am so grateful to Doug and am thankful that God put him in my life. We will never know how many people that Doug impacted. The ripples go far. Doug would humbly suggest that all the work for the glory of God and rightly so. Thank you Doug!

I met Doug over the years when he would visit Calvin Christian School in Winnipeg, MB. He came to speak to our staff on many occasions and his passion was Christian education was noticeable. He worked hard to connect with people and was always very genuine. My condolences to Doug\'s family and friends--I am so sorry for your loss.
