Dearest Jay and Family: My thoughts and prayers are with you on this day of Doug's Celebration of Life. He was much loved and will be missed greatly. He is in the Lord's care now and will be forever in our hearts here on Earth forever. Our memories of him will last us a lifetime. May God keep all of you strong and safe. Rest in Peace my dear friend.
From the bottom of my heart and with great sadness. Sincerely Denise Sladek
posted by Denise Sladek : I worked with Doug at Transport Canada/ AirNavigation for several years. It was a pleasure knowing him, a gentleman through and through. He was committed, knowledgeable, caring and a joy to be with daily. I had the pleasure of knowing Jay and some of the members of the family. May the memories of your time together help you cope with the sadness you are feeling now and may Peace be in your hearts. : May 18, 2019
Sharon and l were saddened to learn of Doug?s passing. We have fond memories of our times together and will miss his quiet demeanour and quick wit. Of particular note is a rather raucous evening in Nigeria over some treasured Alberta steaks. We extend our deepest sympathies to Jay and family, but are content in the knowledge that he lived a full and happy life. Per Ardua ad Astra.

Saddened to hear of the Passing of Doug, a TRUE GENTLEMEN whose quiet, even demeanor was most appreciated when the stress level hit a peak.
Our heartfelt condolences to Jay and the Family. He will be missed by many.
