of Edmonton
I first met John in 2016 during an outage in one of the plants in northern Alberta. John was my Supervisor and the team successfully completed a difficult trunaround scope of work under his tutleage. I reconnected in late 2018 with John since he was my past Supervisor and in the line of work we have to keep quite afew certifications upto date which require Supervisor sign off prooving work experience. I was relieved when John not only agreed but also remembered me (in a kind light to boot). I reconnected with John over the course of 2018/ 2019 and we ended up working together again in late Winter/Spring 2019. John was a great mentor and highly regarded by others at work because of his high level of competency, experience and a genuine outgoing social demeanour. I was surprised and saddened by the news of his passing and he wil be missed.
