Ian my condolences to you and your family upon the passing of your father.
Alec was a highly respected member of the legal fraternity.
It is always difficult to lose a family member no matter how old they are.
Cherish the memories. He had a good run around the track.

Alec and I were classmates in law school and graduated in 1960. We then embarked and practiced litigation law as friendly practitioners thereafter. Alec and I became friends in law school and remained friends to the present day. I considered Alec to be one of the best and fairest people I have know and was a great admirer of him both s a lawyer and later a Justice of the Court 0f Queens Bench. If I had a problem I would always seek his advice and he was willing and able to help. Although I our law career and life style followed in different directions I believe enjoyed our friendship. It is always sad a good friend passes and we all will miss him My condolences to all of the family whom I am sure will miss his friendship and good advice. Goodby Alec.
