posted by Anneke Fitzgerald : Carol came to Holland as a teenager and stayed with my parents (Thea - sister of Clarice and Gerrit Eenkhoorn). As Carol and I were same age, we spend most of her holiday together. Later, I visited several times in Edmonton. I am the youngest daughter of Thea and Gerrit and first cousin. I live in Australia. : Sep 09, 2022

 

I was blessed to know and work with Carol. I was very saddened to hear of the news of her passing. I only worked with Carol a short time but her impact on others was felt immediately upon meeting her. She was a great listener and you never doubted how much she cared. May your memories of her hold you all close at heart. She lived life in service of others and Will be greatly missed. I celebrate you Carol. May you continue to be blessed.

I am so sorry to all of Carol's family and good friends and colleagues and her new pup. She was taken away much too soon from all of us. I will always cherish my time with Carol and have fond memories of our time together at Kings where we developed a close friendship. She took me on my first trip outside of Canada and supported me as my Maid of Honour.

The hearts of the King's University community go out to Carol's family with her sudden loss to family, friends, and colleagues. Carol was a gift to our learning community during her decade at King's in the library, and many of us remember her well. We wish all of you strength and peace as you celebrate the gift she was to you and grieve her sudden loss. May you feel the special presence of God's spirit of comfort and peace.
