??Dear Barbara and family,
I was sad to learn of Brian's illness and death. The speakers at the service in All Saints Cathedral well described Brian just as I knew him during his three years with the Alberta Law Reform Institute. He was an excellent lawyer, and always kind, supportive, unpretentious. My sincerest sympathy for your loss.

I read with sadness of Brian??s death. He was a great colleague and friend when I was on the Court and could always be counted on to be kind and friendly to his colleagues and patient and kind in court. He was always a positive influence and I know he will be missed by his colleagues.
I remember particularly the little smile that would play out on his face when he made a joke or you did and his lovely voice usually singing some Broadway song as he walked down the hall to his office or court.
The world was better for his having been there and sadder for his passing.
