My whole family loved Ed through and through. My parents Gordon and Margaret Ann Young had so many good times with Ed - and their friendship resulted in my life long sisterhood with Rikia who people in vancouver (where we both live) frequently assume she is my sister (look alike, speak alike). The Saddy family has been so special to me and it's probably no coincidence that I named my daughter "Sayde". I hope Ed knew how adored he was. I suspect he did, as he seemed to set the table for warm and open exchanges - another of his beautiful legacies. In this and other respects - he was squarely ahead of his time. Sending love to Marcy, Rikia and the whole Saddy family.

Sad to hear of the passing of my colleague Ed. He was a fine, modest, quiet man with a good sense of humour and always a gentleman. He was an admired and excellent judge. Condolences to the family. Judge Gary G. Cioni (ret.).
