Remembering Helen
Helen was a gentle soul who loved nature and spending time outdoors. She was particularly fond of bird watching. She always had a fine huge garden from which she provided her entire family with fresh vegetables. She was especially remembered by her grandchildren for her yummy dill pickles and the pumpkins she grew and distributed every fall.
Helen always put the needs of others ahead of her own, making her husband and children the focus of her life.
She was a person of good moral character and lived life true to her values.
Fond of parables she often quoted such sayings as "a bird in hand is worth two in the bush" or "a stitch in time saves nine" and many other words of wisdom.
She had a good sense of humour which we continued to catch glimpses of throughout her struggle with dementia.
Helen will be remembered by family and friends with great affection and I am proud to be her daughter.......
