Dear Stuart and family, I was shocked and greatly saddened to hear of Peggy's passing. Although I only remember seeing her twice when she visited my parents in Kalamazoo, Michigan, I also remember thinking, "What a nice cousin she is." She and my mother (Cousin Phyllis Wyman) wrote letters back and forth for decades. I think they had a very special bond that reached over the many miles. My mother always thought of Peggy as kind of a long distance sister. Phyllis passed away in September and I have learned that as the sorrow slowly fades, the wonderful memories continue and will bring great comfort as time goes on.

To Sturart and Family,
It is with great sorrow to hear of the passing of a wonderful friend Peggy.
I had the pleasure of swimming with Peggy daily for almost two years. Peggy was one of the most inspiring and loving person I had met at Hardisty Pool..
Peggy was so kind and gentle.Peggy and I would share an orange daily at the pool, as we sat and chat over a cup of coffee.I will miss her contiguous smile, her great advice, and a wonderful friend. I am fortunate to have known her.
My heart goes out to all of you.

Mena's love brought both Dale and Peggy into my life. I am doubly blessed. My thoughts and sympathies go out to the entire family.

I was saddened to hear that Peggy had passed way. She seemed eternal to me. I look back over our childhoods and remember the wonderful times I spent at your house - Christmas/Boxing Day dinners, playing house in the breezeway and ping pong in the basement, and always Peggy's welcoming presence. Love, Kathy
posted by Kathy Smyth : I met Ellen in the fourth grade when the Scotts moved to the Fulton Place neighborhood. I showed her the way home from school and we have been friends ever since. From that beginning I met the family and because our two families lived only a few houses away and had children of similiar ages, we all knew one another and played together. Peggy and Stuart welcomed me into their home and I grew to love them as second. Peggy took everything in stride and Stuart has a wonderful offbeat sense of humour so I fit right in. Many of my best childhood memories are of Ellen and her family. : Apr 12, 2012
Dear Sheila, Brent and the entire family. I was saddened to read about Peggy's death this morning. I recognized her picture immediately. I remember meeting Peggy several times in your home and enjoyed her company.
I am sorry we will not be able to join you on the 17th because we are out of town.
Our thoughts are with you at this sad time.

Dear Stuart,
We are deeply saddened to hear that Peggie has passed on. She was a vibrant adventurous and wonderful person who enlivened all those whom she met. We had many honest and deep conversations and a few good swims. I will remember her well. On behalf of the Aysia, Grace, Thea, Constantina and myself, I wish you and your family comfort and solace at this time and when the cloud passes, I trust a smile will return as we remember Peggie, an example of a life well lived.

Ellen, I'm so glad I saw you recently and we spoke about our mothers. It was so evident the love and respect you had for your mother. It saddens me that the woman who you are so like is gone. But...she is still here because she has left a little behind in all her children. Celebrate her life and know that she continues to watch over her family with love, compassion and pride. Love to you and all your family.
