I was so sorry to hear of the passing of my dear aunt Cora. She was such a warm wonderful person. I will always remember my visits to Edmonton by her warm hospitality and how she could whip up a last minute meal for a dozen people in no time at all. My deepest sympathy to my cousins. Sylvia

Dianne I hope you will convey my sympathies to all my cousins. Cora was a multifaceted woman but to me and my family she was the very soul of hospitality. I have and will hold to only the fondest memories.

To my dear Cora: You brought elegance and grace into our midst. With your boundless generosity, wisdom and kindness, you enriched our lives. With that wonderful smile and twinkle in your eyes, you warmed and gladdened our hearts! For everyone who knew and loved you, you helped us become better people. I thank you for that, and I treasure the years we spent working together as you helped me realize a dream and become the person I am today. I will be forever grateful and remember you with great love and affection. How wonderful were those years, and what fun we had!

She accepted with great enthusiasm, served as one of the founding board members, and was truly a guiding light. I was saddened to hear Cora had passed away. A flood of Kiwanis and Festival memories comes back. She and Sheila were close collaborators and friends. Bless her heart.

Our first contact with Cora came at the Edmonton Kiwanis Music Festival in which our children participated. Later on Cora guided us through the formation of the Leduc Music Festival. Her support and her warmth were very important to us as we launched the festival 33 years ago. Susequently, working with her on the board of the Alberta Music Festival Association and driving with her to board meetings (I even drove her once in her pink Cadillac) I came to value her friendship. We will, like all her friends and family, will miss her wit, her charm, and her presence.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and family at this time. Cora was was the kindest soul ..and she went at her own pace to the beat of her own drum...she truly understood others around her. Cora spoke from her heart and she was one of a kind. Her warm, caring personality with all that she was going through, she never complained once and always though of others...I have only been graced with knowing her the last few years. I will miss her on Fridays at her 2:30 appoiment. Having known her personally I will deeply miss her.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Cora was truly "one of a kind". Her warm, caring personality was treasured by everyone who met her. She advocated for many interests and we will never know how far-reaching her efforts went. Having known her both professionaly and personally I consider myself to be a very fortunate person.
