Dear Geri, Tristan, and Trevor and family : I am very sorry to hear of the loss of Kevin, he was a fine man and an excellent role model for everyone. He was the first boss that I had who I felt was gentle, firm, and fair. He looked out for everyones interests. He made working in the military fun. I know for certain he was loved and respected by everyone he touched. Stay strong.

I wanted to pass along my deepest condolences to Kevin's family. I knew Kevin a long time ago in Trail, when we were both in Air Cadets together. Kevin was a grand lad then - we had many shared adventures together. Even in high school Kevin had a very clear vision of serving in the Canadian Forces. I'm very glad to see he was able to fufill that vision.

Dear Geri and family,
Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss. Kevin was truly one of the most genuine and nicest people that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He and I have crossed paths for over 12 years through being in the Air Force and a member of the 4 Wing Band, and he certainly left a lasting impression in terms of how he served his country and community with distinction. I will greatly miss playing with Kevin and being in the presence of his kindness. Thank you for supporting him in sharing talents with us, and I wish you the very best through this difficult time.

Geri and Family
Tammie and I would like to send our condolences on the sudden passing of Kevin. The few years in band that we got to know him, as a good horn player, dedicated to the band, and to his friends and family. This will leave a lasting impression on me. He always had a smile when I saw him, knew the ropes for our trips, set up and other workings of the band. Some of the ATIS techs down in Colorado send their prayers as well as some of the officers that I know that where up in Cold lake. Now when we see an angel playing the French horn, we know whom it is.

We would like to give our most sincere and heartfelt condolences to Geri, Tristan, Trevor and and family. We didn't have the chance to know Kevin for a long time, being in Cold Lake for less than a year. Still the short times we had with him had a profond effect on us both. He made us feel like we'd known him for years. We'll always remember is warmth, his joyfull spirit, and mostly his smile.

My condolences to you Geri at this most difficult time. I have not seen Kevin in more than 30 years. He was the best friend a person could have in high school; steady, calm, faithful and true. I only pray that some of his attributes have rubbed off on me and made me a better person.

To say that Kevin was a positive influence and a great role model is certainly true. He was a gentle, kind and supportive friend throughout high school. I know that many of us who knew Kevin in school continued to stay in contact with him throughout our adult lives, not wanting to lose such a wonderful friend. It is with a very heavy heart that I send my sincere condolences to Geri, Trevor, Tristan and family.
Kevin meant a lot to me. He first started as my sr supervisor in 410 Sqn, he was a great boss and I always had a lot of fun with him at work. Then, with so many questions from Kevin about this great Base Band I was playing with, I decided to force him to one practice with me so he could see it for himself and that is where Kevin found his calling. There is no words to describe the void his passing means to me and to the band. Kevin was the smile and sunshine of this band. In fact, with his generosity and cheerful attitude he had about life in general, Kevin was a great role model to all that surrounded him. I will miss the smily and vibrant ''Hello Helene'' and welcome hugs he always had in reserve ready to offer so generously. I am so thankful to have had the chance to call him my friend. I will forever be thankful for all the great moments I shared with him. Rest in peace Kevin, you will be missed forever.

I will remember Kevin's laugh, and how he always had a genuine interest in how things were going in your life. Memorable fishing trips on Kootenay Lake with Kevin, Kerby and the boys were such fun times. Kevin made the absolute best Caesar salad dressing you could ever imagine. My sincerest condolences to Geri, Trevor, Tristan and all the Smith family. Thinking of you all during this most difficult time.
