It was with deep sadness that I learned of the passing of Eva who was such a beautiful lady and marvelous teacher. It was my priviledge to meet and work with Eva at Albert Lacombe school in my first years as a special education teacher. Eva was such a motivating and caring inspiration to me as well as the children she taught. In the latter years of my career I would often see Eva at the Second Cup where I was always so delighted in sharing a hug and kind word with her. I am sure she will be truly missed by you, her family, and also by her many friends.
Thinking of you with sincere sympathy and blessings, Carolyn Messenger.

Our deepest condolences David, Heather (Don and Connor), Brenda (Randy), & Carol (Dave), and entire family of Eva's. Eva was so special to all of us at the salon, and all that knew Eva over the years, as we so knew her all wonderful spirit and strengths, and how much she loved and cherished her family. We will all miss seeing her, chatting with her, and visiting with us each week - she gave us so much beauty as well - as she made a huge impact on so many of my staff over the years. The time we knew her and spent with her will always be cherished. One unbelievable resilient lady - one we will never forget. Rest in peace Eva, and thank you for everything. With love, Diane - Rebeca - Brittany - Jules - Ashley - and all the staff that knew her over the years- too many to list.
posted by Diane Chong : I have known Eva for many years - I was her hairstylist for a lot of the years, though not for the past several - gracing several of other stylists with her company - and with Rebeca for the past several months - who grew quite attached to Eva as well. (we all did). Eva was so loving, and so loyal to my salon - and cherished by any of the stylists and staff that served her. She was a wonderful woman that will be missed by all the girls at Studio 107. Glad a few of us also got to know and/or serve other members of her family as well - David, Heather, Connor, Carol and Brenda - through Second Cup...or the salon -her legacy will continue through you all. : Jan 05, 2013
Dear Brenda & Family
My thoughts and prayers are with you today, I am very sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. Mrs Gillis was my favorite teacher, in all the years of my education in
St. Albert she had 1st place in my heart! Over the last few years I enjoyed connecting with Mrs Gillis when I would see her at 2nd Cup, she remembered me right away and always had kind and encouraging words to share. May you take care of yourself and each other as you grieve this significant loss.

Dear David, Brenda, Heather & Family:
My sincere sympathy to you all on the loss of Eva. I was simply saddened to hear the news. I was so very thankful that we had a very wonderful evening together at Bev & Wilfred's home when I was out in Sherwood Park last June.
Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
God love and bless you all and keep you always in His care.
Love, prayers & hugs
