I am sorry to hear of the passing of your father, Edward. It is hard to imagine how time has slipped away so fast -- and our loved ones are lost. I know that your father contributed so much to various community organizations in Edmonton and will be sorely missed by so many people outside of your immediate family. I hope that his legacy will bring you some comfort during this sad time.

I was very sorry to read of your father's passing. I think your father and mine (Ron Grantham) were kindred spirits. And your Dad's name, said of course with the Scottish (the only!) pronunciation - "Menzies McMorran" by my Dad with his big deep voice, was the most fabulous name I had ever heard - strong and musical and always heard around Robby Burns Day, when I believe they sat at the same table for many years. Our fathers were Burns Club buddies, fellow vocalists (strong voices both sung and spoken!) and I know my father admired yours very much. There will be a loud exchange in the beyond when they meet up again. I wish you many happy memories of your father.

Menzies was a friend and mentor to many and will be greatly missed by everyone he touched.
