John Voogd, born May 26, 1937 in Wilsum, Germany, went to be with the Lord on January 30, 2015.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Grace; children, Bonnie (John) Grimmon, Heather (Karl) Doerr, Jennifer, Vivian (Brad) Boven and Harley (Makara); grandchildren, Jessica (AJ) and Jadene Grimmon; Kloee and Frank Doerr; Ryan and Cody (Jennifer) Boven; Noah, Samara and Conan Voogd; great-granddaughter, Ava Boven.

John was predeceased by six brothers. He is survived by his brother, Gerald (Joanne) Voogd; two sisters, Johanna (Garry) Nyboer and Gerda Peetsma; three sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

A Visitation will take place at Foster and McGarvey Funeral Home, 10011 – 114 Street, Edmonton on Friday, February 6, 2015 from 6-8:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place at West End Christian Reformed Church, 10015 – 149 Street, Edmonton on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m., Pastors Bob DeMoor and Gordon Pols officiating.
