Sylvia Veld, born January 19, 1916, went to be with her Lord on July 8, 2015.

Sylvia was a beloved mother to Susan (Peter) Bontkes, Bill (Susan), Winnie (Harry) Wruck, Paul, Peter (Janice); and her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Sylvia is also survived by her niece, Joanne Vlietstra; and brother, Paul Kingma in Holland.

She was predeceased by her husband, Bert; grandson, Daniel; son, Albert; as well as grandson’s wife, Carol Bontkes; and two siblings.

We thank especially her wonderful caregiving family from Emmanuel Home, where she spent the last 18 years.

A private family interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 13 at Westlawn Memorial Gardens. A Memorial Service presided by Pastor Russ Graff will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Foster & McGarvey Funeral Home, 10011-114 Street NW, Edmonton.
