ELBROND, Gordon June 27, 1937 – July 26, 2015 Gordon’s friends and family are able to find joy in the memories they have from sharing in his wit and wisdom. Gordon often remarked on his good fortune of being paid to do what he loved, read, throughout his career at Hurtig’s Bookstore, then the U of A Bookstore. Gordon’s interest in nature, photography, and following his granddaughters’ activities were his passion in retirement. Memories of Gordon will be cherished by his wife, Jean; daughter, Erica (Jim); granddaughters, Alice, Ivy and Sally; sister, Barbara; brother, Ed; mother-in-law, Edith; sister-in-law, Jill (Locke); his three nieces and dear friends. The family is grateful for Gordon’s compassionate medical care. For those that would like to donate to a charity: Prostate Cancer Canada, the Edmonton Humane Society or Norwood Palliative Hospice Care would share a meaning in Gordon’s life. Many of you have already shown your generosity to Gordon and Jean throughout his lengthy illness. We are thankful and very grateful. A Celebration of Gordon’s Life will be held at a later date.
