Guy O. Packford

It is with great sadness that the family of Guy Packford announces his passing at age 95. Guy passed away surrounded by his loving family who all adored him.

He leaves to mourn his loss his devoted wife, Mary of 63 years; daughter, Susan (Kelly) McCoy; son, Scott (Kathy) Packford; four grandchildren: Branden (Natashia), Becky (Rick), Meaghan (Trevor), and Kayla (Mike); great grandchildren: Koen, Mattea, and Serena; two sisters: Joan Thomas, and Barbara Hutchison of Victoria, BC; three nephews; and Mary’s cousin, Gayle (Michael) Stevens Guille.

Guy was active in the electronic business, first with General Electric, then Canadian Electronics; and later founded Cardinal Industrial Electronics. In the Early 80’s he was involved in the development of Lacombe Park East in St. Albert, and served on several City of St. Albert committees. He was an avid sports fan and thru the years, was active with horses and horse shows. He was a member of the Glendale Golf Club. He loved his time at Seba Beach over 53 years in the summers where he enjoyed sailing; and where there was wonderful family time shared with Mary and their two children; followed by the grandchildren, and now, great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 20, 2015 at St. Albert United Church, 20 Green Grove Drive, St. Albert, Alberta.
