With sad hearts we announce the passing of Gordon Gerald Lechelt on July 17, 2016, after a brief battle with cancer. Gordon was born Sept. 20, 1939 in New Sarepta, to parents Walter and Adella Lechelt. Gordon married Carol Alton August 12, 1966, and son Dean (Suzanne Weed) was born December 10, 1967. Gordon was blessed with 2 grandchildren, Gabriella and Payton; and a special aunt Margaret.

Please join us in a Celebration of Gordon’s Life at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Connelly-McKinley / Foster & McGarvey Edmonton South Chapel, 4820 Meridian Street, Edmonton.

From Sherwood Park Freeway go to 17th st exit – travel south to 76 ave and turn left. From Whitemud Freeway take 17 st north exit. Turn left onto 17 st. Go to 76 ave and turn right. Head east on 76 ave until you get to detour signs. Follow the detour route to Meridian St. Turn right and follow the road south all the way until the dead end. Turn right into Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. Follow the road until you see the Chapel on the west end of the cemetery. )

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gordon may be made to the Memorial Society of Edmonton or to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, Cross Cancer Institute.
