On Thursday July 21, 2016, George (Sjerp) Nadema of Edmonton passed away after a short battle with cancer at the age of 82 years.

George is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Charlotte; children, Sylvia (Will), Ronald (Wendy), Charleen, Sandra (Herb), Evert (Jeannine), and Andrew (Jackie); 20 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Pietje; brother, Evert (Anneke); brothers-in-law, Jacob and Henk; daughter-in-law, Lynne Nadema; and a large extended family. He was predeceased by his parents, two sisters, and one brother.

A Celebration of George’s Life will be held Wednesday, July 27 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ottewell Christian Reformed Church, 6811 – 92A Avenue, Edmonton. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute or the charity of one’s choice.
