On September 16, 2016, Morris Taylor passed away peacefully at the age of 86 years. Morris will be lovingly remembered by his family, daughters Connie Taylor (Martin Chamberlain) and Linda Banister (Harold Banister) and his four grandchildren, Kara, Taylor, Marina and Jenna. He was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Georgia. Morris will be remembered by many friends and family including his close friend, Anne Babiuk.
Morris loved life. He had a long career in horse racing, as a trainer, chart caller and manager, retiring as Racing Manager at Northlands Park. After retiring, Morris was appointed a lay bencher for the Law Society of Alberta and following that he sat on several boards and committees, including the City of Edmonton Subdivision and Development Appeal Board. Travel, movies and dining out with lively conversation were among his passions. Morris was a devoted husband, father and Papou and will be remembered as a strong and positive influence in our lives.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Mayfair Golf and Country Club, 9450 Groat Road, Edmonton on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
