On October 9, 2016 in Grimsby, ON, Beatrix went into the arms of her Lord at the age of 90.

She is predeceased by her husband Leendert "Leen" Rietveld in 1978 and Jan Meeber in 2002; sons Fred in 1971, Len in 1984 and Jim in 2005.

Beatrix will be lovingly remembered by her children, Casey (Grace), Pieter (Nettie), Nellie (Rolf) Schipfel, Ben (Mary), Margaret (Peter) Rietveld, Brenda Wassink, Carol (Fred) Kruitbosch, Rita (Jim) DeGraaf, Richard (Marion) Meeboer, John (Denise) Meeboer,Elly (George) Bok, Willy (Ray Roelofsen, Klaas (Jo-Ann) Meeboer,Henry (Joanne) Meeboer, Arlene (John) Veenstra, Patricia (Joe) Bok, Jenny (John) Meyer; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The Rietveld family would like to thank the Meeboer family in Ontario for all the love and care they gave mom all these years.

A Visitation will take between 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19 at Foster and McGarvey Funeral Home, 10011-114 Street, Edmonton.

A Graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, October 21 at Westlawn Cemetery, 16310 Stony Plain Rd NW, Edmonton. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Trinity Christian Reformed Church, 13427 57 St NW, Edmonton.
