On October 26, 2016, Nellie Veerman of Leduc passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the age of 88 years.

Nellie will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her three children, Gerry (Sharon), Aly and Ron (Brenda); grandchildren, Victoria (Henry) Thomson, Geoffrey Topping, Colin Veerman, Chris (Jamie) Koe and Barry Veerman (Lindsay Lavie); great grandchildren, Dakota Topping, David Thomson, Jasmine Topping, Cassidy Thomson, Jayden Tyliszczak, Jacob Weigand, Sarah Thomson, Austin Veerman, Niklaas Koe, Tyson Veerman, Peyton Koe, Savannah Veerman, Johanna Weigand and Bentley Veerman; sisters, Wil Vanderjagt and Marsha (Peter) Koopmans; sister-in-law, Volda Reedyk; numerous family and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Klaas; granddaughter, Paula Veerman; brothers, Arie Reedyk and Robert Reedyk.

Heartfelt thank you to the entire staff of Salem Manor Nursing Home for their care, kindness and compassion.

A Visitation will take place on Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Foster and McGarvey Funeral Home, 10011 - 114 Street, Edmonton.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 31, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., at Foster and McGarvey Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Westlawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Nellie may be made to Salem Manor Nursing Home, 4419 - 46 Street, Leduc, AB, T9E 6L2, or Leduc Community Hospital, 4210 - 48 Street, Leduc, AB, T9E 5Z3.
