Dr. Doreen Patrick, 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 30, 2016. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband of 58 years, Andrew; daughter, Elizabeth (Don), son, Andrew (Connie); grandchildren, Chelsea (James), Keely (Angelo), Shannon (Alistair), Alysha, Graeme, Jocelyn, Liam and great grandchild, Charles.

Doreen was born in Toronto in 1929 and later earned a BSc at UBC. From there she moved to Glasgow to obtain her medical degree at Glasgow University, where she met her husband.

Doreen initially practiced medicine in British Columbia. She practiced in Vancouver, where she worked in pediatrics and from there Doreen worked in Nanimo and Powell River before moving to Edmonton in 1959. Once in Edmonton she worked as a General Practitioner for the City of Edmonton providing health care in schools. Later, Doreen practiced at the Family Planning Clinic in downtown Edmonton.

A private memorial is being held for Doreen.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Grandview Capital Care for their care over the past 2 years.
