After a long, rich life, Inge Vermeulen died peacefully on July 11, 2017 at 96 years old. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Henry Vermeulen.

Inge leaves her four children; Philine Hillas, Charlotte Edgar, Ted Vermeulen and Susie Coen and her four stepchildren; Henry Vermeulen, Fred Vermeulen, Lewis Vermeulen and Ute Rieder with a lifetime of memories. Her many grandchildren and great grandchildren have had an example of how to live life enthusiastically.

Inge was a dedicated volunteer with many organizations well into her nineties. She was a very proud partner in The Village Bookshop and is fondly remembered for introducing the love of books to many children.

As a lifelong learner, Inge was instrumental in establishing ELLA. Inge was also an accomplished writer and shared many of her experiences in print and on radio, CBC of course. She was loved and respected by all who knew her.

We would like you to join us in celebrating Inge's life at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at St. Paul's United Church, 11526-76 Ave.
