It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Manfred.

Manfred was born in Germany on June 3, 1935 and passed away in Edmonton on August 19, 2017.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Evelyn; older brother, Siegfried; and by his twin brother, Herbert.

Manfred is survived by his only son, Manfred Jr. of Pittsburg, PA; nephew, Hauke (Julie); great-nephew, Alec of Washington; wife, Thelma and her children, Martin, Erika (Keith), Leslie (Garth) and Karla (Bryan); only grandson, Duncan; 6 siblings in Germany; numerous relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2017, at St. Faith’s Anglican Church, 11725 – 93 Street, Edmonton.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be graciously accepted to the St. Faith’s Community Meal Program which Manfred was a part of for many years.
