Tjeertdine Jager

Tjeertdine Jager ( nee Roeters ) , 87, of St Albert Alberta passed away on March 4,2018 peacefully with her children by her side.

She was born in Oldekerk, the Netherlands on February 16 in 1931 and married our beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather Wiebrand Harke Jager in 1953.

In the early 1960's they settled in Montreal where they raised three children and attended the Christian Reformed Church for many years.

In 1990 they moved to Edmonton Alberta where they lived until 2005 then moved to St Albert.

Often referred to as Oma or Oma J, she had a sparkle in her eyes when grandchildren would visit her. Her passions were knitting, sewing and other crafts.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and wife of 62 years to Wiebrand Harke Jager . Much loved mother of Janneke and Al VanderHoek, Cora and Rod Innes, and Bert Jager. Her memory will always be remembered by grandsons: Christopher (Samantha), Chad (Denise), Jeffrey (Mellisa), Muri, and David; as well as great-granddaughters: Lorelai, Isabel, Alyssa, and Sarah . Great grandsons Levi, Royce and Dutch.

A private Interment will take place at 11:30am., Wednesday March 7 2018 at Westlawn Cemetery, 10132-163 Street, Edmonton, Alberta, followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. at McConnelly-McKinley, 9 Muir Dr, St Albert. Coffee and refreshments served afterwards.
