On May 17, 2018, beloved mother and widowed wife, Maria "Mae" Koene, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Predeceased by her husband, Pieter "Case" Koene.

Survived by her loving children, son Ryan (Wendy), grandson Tyler, of Edmonton.; daughter, Heather (Rudy), of San Francisco, CA; son, Lennox Andrews (Suzie), grandsons, Malakai and Maddox, of Edmonton; son Garfield Andrews, of Toronto, ON.

Loved by her many nieces and nephews in the Netherlands, as well as extended family, and very special friends.

Our sweet Maria, will be laid to rest, in a private burial, at Westlawn Memorial Garden in Edmonton.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., at Foster McGarvey/Connelly McKinley Funeral Home 4820 Meridian Street, Edmonton. Non-Black attire is requested, as Mae loved color.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Maria's memory may be made to Sherwood Park Care Centre, 2020 Brentwood Blvd N, Sherwood Park, AB, T8A 0V8.
