This photo was taken in Edith’s 104th year. Edith was born at the start of WWI. At that time, a car cost $500, a house $3,500, a loaf of bread 6 cents, and most married women worked at home. Edith was a loving wife and mother, as well as a caring friend and neighbor. Besides her love of reading, Edith’s intelligence as well as artistry were evident in the complicated and intricate patterns of her needlework, sewing, and knitting. Her beautiful paintings adorn our family’s walls and now serve in her memory, along with cherished special occasion cards she painted for her children and grandchildren.

Left to mourn her loss are her daughters, Jean Elbrond and Jill (Locke) Boros; granddaughters, Erica (Jim), Kim (Jason), Erin (Josh); and six great-granddaughters.

Edith was predeceased by her husband, Norm; daughter, Linda; brother, Joe; and son-in-law, Gordon.
