John passed peacefully at 95 years of age on Tuesday, September 3, 2019, with his family supporting him through his final steps.

Mourning his loss are his four children, Jim (Susan), John (Cheryl), Janice (Les) and June (Lori). John was very proud of his grandchildren - Karina (Kam), Nicole (Ryan), Jack (Kelly), Rebecca (JL), Sheila (Jeff), Ben (Alyssa) and Matt (Nicole). John also has 12 great-grandchildren.

John was predeceased by his wife Elaine.

If friends or family so desire, memorial donations can be made to Salvation Army, Edmonton Humane Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation, or Canadian Cancer Society.
