It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bert Bok, age 82, of Edmonton, AB. He was born on July 9, 1937 in the Netherlands.

Bert leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Ria; son, Michael (Debbie); daughter, Jeanette (Richard); his grandsons: Daniel (Christina), Jordan (Drew), Joshua (Dayna); granddaughters: Kayla (Krys), Brittney (Daryn) and great granddaughter, Marlow; siblings: John (Kathleen), Betty, Ralph (Ruby), Jim, Rulie, Rita, Fennie (Robert), Nick (Shelley) and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Jan and Roelfien Bok and sister, Jantje.

Cremation has already taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at the Dutch Canadian Club, 13312 -142 St NW, Edmonton, AB. Please bring and share your stories of Bert with us all, as there will be opportunity to share at this time.

A thank you to the paramedics and emergency staff at the Royal Alex for doing all that they could for Bert. A special thanks to Dr. Trent Dusang and his staff for their care and emotional guidance over the last few years with Bert’s many ongoing other medical issues.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations in memory of Bert may be made to the Emmanuel Home, Edmonton.
