With heavy hearts we announce Jim Horrigan of Edmonton AB passed away peacefully in his sleep, on April 10.
Predeceased by his parents and siblings, he is sadly missed and forever remembered by his wife of 63 years, Gloria, his children, Linda Horrigan, John Horrigan, and Sharon Pater (Ben), all of Edmonton.
Born in Kingston, Jim moved to Ottawa where he met and married Gloria. The family moved west several times, from Ontario, across the prairies, and settling in Edmonton in 1973. He spent most of his working life in the grocery industry and after 25 years with Cadbury, he was affectionately known as (The Candy Man). He retired after another 15 years with Kraft.
Jim had a great love of music, literature, laughter, and life. He was a very social man and a masterful storyteller who has touched countless lives with his generosity, kindness & humour.
Jim has asked for donations to be made to the charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
A Celebration of Life will be held when conditions permit.
