Gail Capogreco
1947 – 2020
In the early morning hours of Saturday, May 30, 2020, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend Gail left this earth peacefully at the age of 72.
Gail will be lovingly remembered by her best friend and husband Doug; daughter Jennifer (Reece), son Jeffrey (Jin); grandchildren, Joshua, Ashley, Samantha, and Chloe; sister Maureen (Gordon), and brother Michael (Joanne). Gail will be dearly missed by her in-laws, Ross, Christine, Kathleen (Ken), Ian, Dale (Brenda), Albert, and Joyce (Terry); nieces and nephews, as well as special friends Erik and Joanne Brix, their children Katie and Kim and Sandra Clark.
Gail was predeceased by her parents, Muriel and Harry, brother Harry, nephew Kevin, and cherished childhood friends Susan and Brenda.
Gail was a marvel. She loved to laugh and saw the humanity in people. She was resilient and kind, and would often put the needs of others ahead of her own. She was a fierce protector of those she loved and was tremendously proud of her children and grandchildren. Gail was fortunate to spend the last 50 years of her life with her love Doug, and found joy in the simple things. Gail will be forever loved and missed. Fly Gail… fly free, fly high.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a Funeral Liturgy will take place on Friday, June 5 at 8:00 am MST via livestream at Foster and McGarvey Funeral Home in Edmonton. The service will be officiated by Reverend Jim Corrigan. To watch the Service live, please click on the video camera icon to the right.
