On Sunday, May 31, 2020, the Lord called home into eternal glory our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather Sid de Haan, at the age of 90.

Sid will be deeply missed by his children: Freida, John (Brenda), Winni, Alda (Harry), Martin (Diana) and Sid (Vicki); 23 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, as well as his sisters: Annie, Co and Lida.

He was predeceased by his wife, Alice in 2013.

Sid was born in Den Haag, The Netherlands in 1930 and immigrated to Edmonton, Canada with his wife Alice in 1953.

Heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses at the stroke unit of the Royal Alexandra Hospital who looked after him so lovingly the past number of weeks that he was there.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions, there will be a Private Family Service to celebrate his life on Friday June 5, 2020.
