It is with heavy hearts that the family of Bob Choate announce his passing at the age of 91 years.
Left behind to cherish Bob’s memory are his loving family including; daughter, Nancy (Brian), son, Gord (Rhonda), grandchildren Lisa, Robert and Andrew, numerous nieces and nephews as well as many friends.
Bob was predeceased by his wife, Joyce, his mother, Kate, father, Charles and sister, Betty.
Bob dedicated his life to family, his work, and volunteering. He was committed to excellence in his work as an electrical engineer bringing power to residents of Alberta and the Yukon. Bob’s volunteer work was extensive and focused on helping many people and organizations throughout his life. His longstanding service for Kiwanis was deeply appreciated. He was instrumental in operating the Kiwanis Giant Slide each summer for many years.
Bob was born in Calgary, but lived most of his life in Edmonton. He always had a special place in his heart for the time his family spent in the Yukon during the 60’s when he was the manager for Yukon Electrical. Bob was most happy when he was on the water with friends and family.
