May 3, 1943 - Dec 30, 2021
It is with deep sadness and much love that we announce the passing of Vicky Kottke in the early hours of December 30th 2021.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years, Ekkehard Kottke, her mother Ruth Krafft, her children, Iris Routledge, Barbara (David) Andrews, Adrian (Gina) Kottke, her grandchildren, Sarah, Lisa (Daniel), Amy (Calvin), Meghan (Thomas), Stephanie (Brent), Adelle, Ana, Kira, and Ethan, her great grandchildren, Rupert, Hadwin and Aspen, her sister Erika Merkel and other extended family in Alberta, Europe and California.
Vicky was truly the consumate hostess that always had a drink to offer or a meal to share. She was especially known for her Kaffee und Kuchen, her wonderful Klondike Breakfasts and she could manage family dinners of more than 20 people singlehandedly which is a skill we are learning is not as easy as she made it seem.
As much as she loved to travel, her favorite place was always home, surrounded by her family. We will miss her so much.
A private graveside service will be held on January 12th with a celebration of life at a later date when Covid restrictions are eased.
