It is with wonderful memories and heavy hearts that the family of Jack Hollands announce his passing on June 26th, 2022, after 90 well lived years on this planet. He has gone to join his sons, Tim and Bill; as well as his brother, Gordon (Claudette) Hollands.
Jack is survived by his wife, Lucille Hollands; his children, Diane (Ron, Ben, Shannon) Foreman, and Rob (Laura, Dale, Keenan) Hollands; his siblings, Joyce Anderson, Doug (Dorothy) Hollands, and Don (Pieta) Hollands; as well as numerous other cherished family and friends.
Jack was born and raised in the Scottish part of Edmonton (the Highlands). Throughout his life he was a dedicated member of the Kinsmen Club, Royal Glenora Club, Rotary Club, Edmonton Golf and Country Club, Wabamun Sailing Club, and was a staunch Robby Burns supporter.
Jack articled with Patriquin, Duncan, McClarin, McClarin, and King Chartered Accountants beginning him on his path with becoming a Chartered Accountant assisting businesses over the years, and later became a partner with Deloitte. His honesty, loyalty, and commitment built him a trusted clientele base and a partnership lasting many years. After retiring, he ran his own company with clientele met through the various organizations he belonged to. He worked for some of them until his mid-80's.
He was an avid golf, tennis, and bridge player, sometimes sailor, and always found something to keep him busy at the lake.
There will be a Celebration of Jack's Life at 1 pm on July 12th, 2022 at the Edmonton Golf and Country Club, 6201 Country Club Road, Edmonton, Alberta.
