On August 31, 2022, Cecil Lace of St. Albert passed away at the age of 77.

Cecil is survived by his loving wife, Jean; 4 sisters, Sheila, Annabelle, Kaye, and Clara; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Cecil and Martha; brothers John, Ken, and Ron, and sister-in-law, Isobel.

Cecil was born on April 28, 1945, and grew up in Lunenberg, NS. He began his 25-year career with the military starting as an infantry man and later re-mustering to an aircraft machinist, which he enjoyed very much, until retiring in the early 1990's. He liked to draw wildlife pictures, and also enjoyed cars and other collectibles.

Cremation has taken place. A private memorial will be held in Lunenberg at a later date. If desired, donations in memory of Cecil can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
