Anna Maria Van Engelen (nee Biard) was born at Dordrecht, Holland, in 1931. She passed away in the Royal Alexandra Hospital on March 23, 2023, at the age of 91 years.

Anna is survived by her children: Trudie Abday (Syd), Francis (Sandi), John (Donna), Arn (Barbara), Anna Phillips (Lawton), Jack (Karen), Yvonne, and Chris; grandchildren: Cheryl Horn (Joe), Colin Abday (Lauren), Steve Abday (Angela), Josh (Nicole) Jeff (Pam), Jason, Jonathan (Sheila), Cody (Tessa), Dustin (Brooklyn), Elizabeth Dionne (Felix), Jeremy, Matthew, Cassandra, Natalie, Justin, Mark, Jesse (Mandi), and Kerry Talbot (Mitchel); and great-grandchildren: Joshua, Elijah, and Gabriel Horn, Zachary and Alexandra Abday, Alaina, Nova-Leigh, Landon, Brody, Dalyn, and Oaklyn Van Engelen, Todd, Simon, and Rhya Phillips, Angel, Cera, Damian, Tori, Katrina, and Betty-Ann Van Engelen, and Kaycee Talbot.

She was predeceased by her husband, Arnold; son, James; grandsons, Robert and Carson; her parents, and eleven siblings.

A funeral service will be held April 3rd, 2023, at Foster & McGarvey Downtown Funeral Home, 10011-114 St NW, followed by a burial at Westlawn Memorial Gardens, 16310 Stony Plain Rd.
