Our Lord and Saviour took C.C. (Mike) Van Steenbergen home to enjoy eternal life with Him on March 23, 2023.

To remember him he leaves his loving wife of 57 years, Mieke; his three children, Albert, Michael (Toni) and Melisa Petkau (Kelly); as well as his ten grandchildren: Jace, Brenden, Katie, Seth, Arlee, Bryson, Hayley, Gemma, Corin, and Mark. Also a sister, Wilma; and sister-in-law, Elly; in the Netherlands, and sister, Tiny Eggink (Gerrit); brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; many nephews, nieces, and friends.

The family would like to thank Dr. Amy Borkent and the Palliative Home Care Pod D team for their exceptional empathy and care during this difficult time.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Foster & McGarvey Funeral Home, 10011-114 Street. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to Calahoo Alliance Church for Uganda missions, 54500 Range Rd 275 #14, Calahoo, AB T0E 1V0.
