Jelte was born in 1930 in the Netherlands and passed away on June 16, 2023, in Edmonton, AB. He was a beloved father, Pake, brother, and friend. He has been reunited with Nellie (DeJong), his loving wife of 59 years. He will be missed by his daughters and their spouses: Hilda (John) Zylstra, Evelyn Jongsma, and Lisa (John) Snyder; his 14 grandchildren and their spouses; his 39 great-grandchildren; family & friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023, at 2:30 p.m. at the West End Christian Reformed Church, 10015 -149 St. Edmonton. God be with us until we meet again. Amen.
