It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Alexander "Alex" Gardner of Sherwood Park, on Friday, September 29, 2023, at the age of 89 years.

Alex will be dearly missed by Pauline, his loving wife and best friend of 63 years; his friends and family in the U.K.; and many dear friends and students he has developed relationships with throughout his life.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Connelly-McKinley Edmonton South Funeral Home, 4820 Meridian Street, Edmonton.

Cremation has already taken place.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Alex's name can be made online to the Edmonton Humane Society or the Parkinson's Association of Alberta.

Pauline wishes to send a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful team on Unit 3F3 at the University of Alberta Hospital.
