1929-2023

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Augustienus ‘Gus' Wagenaar on October 16, 2023. He will be lovingly remembered by his stepchildren, Jack (Lorraine), Alie (Steve), Bill (Karin), and Jeanette (Darren); numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his sister-in-law Irene Kroon.

Gus is predeceased by his first wife Mennie in 2009 and his second wife, Renny in 2021.

A private interment for family will take place at Little Mountain Cemetery on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in Trinity Christian Reformed Church 13427 57 Street NW, Edmonton. The service will be livestreamed for residents of Emmanuel Home.

The family wishes to thank the Kipnes Centre for Veterans for their excellent and compassionate care of Gus. They went above and beyond
