1930 - 2023

In the warm embrace of his loving family, amidst laughter and the sound of bagpipes, James "Jim" Forbes bid us farewell on Saturday, December 23, 2023.

A devoted husband to Lois (née Taplin); proud father to Diane Bauer (Don), Sherri Davidson (Graham), Judy Forbes (Darren Murray); and fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Tara (Kraig), Adam (Shantel), Lindsay and Claire; as well as his five great-grandchildren, Karter, Kinsley, Declan, Jaxson James, and Harper. Jim is respectfully remembered by numerous friends, colleagues, and fellow members of various service organizations who valued his presence.

A Celebration of Jim's Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2024, at Foster & McGarvey Downtown Funeral Home, 10011 114 St NW Edmonton. The service will be live streamed.

In lieu of flowers, Donations in Memory of Jim may be made to a charity of choice.
