On February 24, 2024, Doreen passed away peacefully at the age of 83. She is survived by her loving children: Debra Scoffield Davis, Allan (Jody Cormier), Russell, and Jane (Don Chatterson); four precious grandchildren: Katie Scoffield, Beth Scoffield (Tyler Shackman), Tac Chatterson, and RJ Scoffield; three sisters, Elaine Byford, Norma White, Edyth Florence; brother Allan (Fran) Olson; sisters-in-law: Elizabeth (Horst) Mendgen and Christine Scoffield (Bert); as well as many nieces and nephews and their families.

Doreen was predeceased by her loving husband, John, and parents, Stuart and Esther Olson.

Respecting Doreen's wishes, cremation has occurred, and no service will be held.

Donations may be made to the University Hospital Foundation, MAID, or a charity of one's choice.
